Nissan rolls up in Russia

Grundfos pumps have become the main pump supplier to the Nissan's car factory in Russia. Pumps like TPE vertical single-stage pumps, NB long-coupled pumps and CRE vertical multi-stage pumps are among the pumps supporting various applications at the factory.

As with other countries where Nissan is present, production in Saint Petersburg is organised to comply with the Nissan Production Way manufacturing system (NPW), the philosophy and corporate production principles ensure that the product quality corresponds with international standards. All the equipment used at the plant meets the international efficiency and reliability requirements and is continuously upgraded. This is why Grundfos was chosen to be a major supplier.

The water supply system uses a Hydro MPC-E unit a compact automatic pump station that maintains the demand in accordance with the variable water consumption level. Due to the automatic pump switch on/switch off system and speed control, the unit maintains a permanent pressure and operates with optimum efficiency.

This is the first Nissan factory in Russia it was designed to produce 50,000 cars a year. The factory produces three models: Nissan Teana, Nissan X-Trail and Nissan Murano crossover.
