As the days start to draw in, we will again find that the heating season is upon us once more. Inevitably some homes and businesses will start up their heating systems and experience problems. This could mean that they will need to upgrade their system or replace their pump solution. So no change there – or is there?
This year although the problems people experience may be the same as they have been for years now, the solutions will need to be different. This is due to legislative changes that come into force on 1st January 2013 that see the rules that govern these circulator pumps change forever. This means that from this date only products that meet the highest levels of energy efficiency will be available which may mean a change from circulator pumps you have traditionally brought.
At Grundfos we are not just ready – we’re way ahead. The Grundfos ALPHA2 and MAGNA circulators have met the EuP requirements for many years. For example the ALPHA2 domestic circulator runs on as little as 5W, and in 2008 was the double winner of the Energy+ Award for best energy-efficient circulator. And with more than two million units produced since the ALPHA was first introduced in 2007, it has proved its reliability around the globe.
