The Darling Quarter is in the heart of Sydney and is a vibrant centre that offers a wide range of business and leisure facilities. A recent aspect of this development comprises of two eight storey office buildings that also includes a children’s playground and other open spaces, as well as a new pedestrian link.
The site features a host of sustainable Grundfos pump solutions. The office buildings deliver savings of 92% on mains water consumption compared to conventional office buildings by combining water treatment, water reuse and rainwater harvesting and plenty of Grundfos pumps. These include SP pumps for rainwater reuse and BM, SEG & CR pumps for water recycling. In addition, Grundfos Hydro MPC booster sets are installed in the potable water system, as well as the recycled water system.
The Quarter has already proved its sustainable credentials by achieving a 6-star Green Star office V2 Design Rating and a 5-star NABERS rating.
Today, for many reasons the commercial building industry is looking to suppliers to provide solutions that help achieve sustainable outcomes. This solution proves that Grundfos, who supplied more than 50 pumps in this instance, can deliver the desired results.
