In the swim

Centre Parcs are household name in the UK and the brand is synonymous with fun, family activity holidays. They started life here in 1987 and today they have five villages in the UK each of which is set in around 400 acres of woodland. Entertaining over 2 million visitors a year means having lots of pursuits that can be enjoyed, regardless of the weather and one of the most popular with people, regardless of their age, revolves around the many water based water based activities in each of the venues in their subtropical swimming areas.

Getting and maintaining the water supply may not be the first thing people think about when they are whizzing down a rapid, luxuriating in a spa pool or splashing around in a wave pool, but the importance of delivering the key element – water - is something that we at Grundfos are quite expert in.

Because of this, Grundfos were recently approached by Center Parcs to supply a range of pump solutions to upgrade and maintain the continuity of the water supply at two of the existing facilities. Following consultation, a range of energy efficient pumps including a Hydro MPC-E booster set and a number of SP submersible pumps were supplied along with members of the hard-working Grundfos NBE single-stage standard bloc pump families. With their compact design and low energy usage, these pumps that are available up to 25 bar, are perfect for dealing with large volume demands.

When you have a turnover of £385m, a 97% occupancy rate and a 96% customer satisfaction rating, Center Parcs cannot leave any aspect of their business simply to chance. This is why the trust they have placed in Grundfos will continue to be repaid through the efficient and effective service that the Grundfos name is synonymous with.
